A downloadable game
This game is still under construction! I've had a lot of fun making it and wanted to share what I've got, ungainly as it is. If you read it nonetheless, thank you!! If this looks mildly interesting but you're not into works in progress, I'll update this when I've got a more complete version.
This is a two-player roleplaying game about reuniting with someone to try and break a curse, based on the folk tale The Laidly Worm of Spindlestone Heugh. The establishing phase is casual and conversational; the ritual at the end needs more focus. You could play this in less than an hour if you're quick with decisions, or if you're playing existing characters, but I'd schedule an hour and a half to play it comfortably and casually.
Once you were a part of each other’s lives, but it’s been a while. Now one of you has been cursed and you have until the sun sets to lift it. Only through a ritual, through three exchanges charged with power, can the curse be broken. When the stars come out, who will you be to each other? Play to find out.
